defender25
I have been going to the tournament for several years, and I must say that I have never seen that many people. Lets just hope that the TSSAA doesn't try to limit the number of teams. That would be a shame. Good attendance and good basketball. It doesn't get much better! I agree completely. That would be a shame. Edited March 24, 2006 by defender25
defender25
Why does the attendance depend on who is playing? Why can't the tourney draw more basketball fans like the state of Kentucky? As I said in an earlier statement, the sweet sixteen in Rupp Arena drew 56,000 Plus fans for the first round alone. That does not count the quarterfinal games or the semifinal games or the championship. It's just not going to happen (at least any time soon). While I love and enjoy high school basketball in TN, it just doesn't hold a candle to what they have in Kentucky when it comes to post-season play. In fact, KY probably has every state in the country topped when it comes to that.
BluNWhiteH8Tribe
From the east, I noticed Bearden and McMinn Central traveled well...thats just from the east though...
