jc62
CARL GETTIS is the only name that needs to be said. He's the best back in 2a and if you dont think so call ezell and get a game tape. or his highlight . Just don't ask for the Fairview film. he was shut down the whole game. catback
Yeah but he pretty much got shut down by good teams. One kid can't carry a whole team. Your right, what in the world was I thinking, Lynn doesn't play for Alcoa, so his 2035 yards rushing last year, wasn't that impressive. The thread was about best backs in 2A, as a junior Lynn rushes for 2035 yards, IMO, that qualifies him as at top rusher in 2A for 2006. He had over 100 yards every game exccept one. (89 yrds). footballwatcher
Just don't ask for the Fairview film. he was shut down the whole game. Fairview had more than half the football team keying in on him last year. THIS JUST OUT ON Unapproved Website, CARL GETTIS WILL BE ATTENDING A PREP SCHOOL IN MISSOURI AND HE WILL WEAR #5 FOR THE ZUMWALT JAQUARS. LCHSgrinch
Hatton is nothing. Richland will kill him like they did last year. Enough said. Well if that is the case your quarterback will throw 4 interceptions like he did last year against Lewis County. I just think things change from year to year. Also if you rush for over 1,500 yards in one season, you can be considered a monster. And I think he is tired of reading about his one bad game all season. I mean there has been enough said. justagoodoleboy
The reason cory pickett threw 4 picks is because clay colley and he is gone, now the reason hatton had only a grand total of 44 yards rushing is because of Richlands defense and they are all back so good luck with that.Colley was a big time player and no matter how you sum it up lewis does not have another colley.Richlands defense will have a field day with lewis again this year.Cory will overcome his performance agaisnt colley and have a solid game.Enough said. LCHSgrinch
Well if you stop Hatton then you have to find Greve or Dodson. If you can stop them you will then have to stop a very much improved passing offense.Let's also don't forget that the defense is returning 7 starters, and you are minus the running back who did all the work! We'll see about that field day you are planning good buddy. I know we will come prepared for your team and your mouths. By the way, Colley only had three INT's .............I had the other one. 15 NWTF 08
well, back to the best backs.... JT Blue from Waverly had right at 1000 last year, and he is a SR. this year, so he should get more, wiht an improved line. But the 6-2A Defense is tough... carney
Yes, Blue should stack up some yards this year coming back with experience gained last year being his first year ever playing TB moving from his FB position. Also Alex Green who appeared might be moved to a reciever position will be fit back into his natural position at TB as well. These two should be a very dangerous duo in Waverly's backfield this year with great contrasting styles. They will also be benifited by a much improved but young O-Line than last year's.
