Dear Father God,

Please bless the Hudson family in their hour of need. Bless the searchers that their mission will be a safe and successful one. Please allow closure to be brought to this terrible accident. Bless the Hudson family, friends and Macon County High School. Comfort them Lord in the knowledge that they will see Jonathan again one day in your heavenly kingdom, through the promise of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Amen

  • 2 weeks later...

Swanson..you & I were here at the same time..Just wanted to add to the story of this.

The Seth Foundation is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving water safety in America and providing support systems to families, communities, and public safety agencies when an aquatic accident occurs, aided in the recovery of Jonathan Hudson's body.

They brought a boat in that was equipped with special cameras and other devices.

They said they would find Jonathan's body.

At 12:30 today, they hit upon a body in the lake, the divers then went down in 108ft of water to retrieve the body, somewhere in area of the mouth of Indian Creek. At 1:58pm the body was brought to the surface and was positively identified as that of Jonathan Hudson.

Closure has finally been given for family & friends. While this is comforting to many.... #41 will remain in our hearts & memories for a lifetime.

GODSPEED #41

It's really wonderful to see everyone coming together at a time like this and bringing our prayers together. It's awesome to see posts on here from fans of other schools sending their prayers and thoughts out to everyone here in Macon County. We not only lost a fellow Tiger football player...we also lost a friend, classmate, a community gentleman, and also a fine respectable young man. My thoughts and prayers are with Jonathan...his family...friends...and also with the people of Macon County High School. Keep God close you're never guaranteed another second.

God bless this family...the Macon County family...in dealing with the loss of their son, friend, classmate...

God bless all in Macon county as this is one of those situations that can impact a whole community. I have the utmost respect for all of the players and coaches at Macon County. They were very well mannered young men and played not only with a love for the game but a love for each other. I am sure this is the hardest thing in the world for a family to go through. I send prayers from Sycamore High.

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
