We were at Gibbs last week. Their new bleachers are still under construction but they are really nice. They're made of block and are elevated about 12 feet so spectators are looking down on the field. The dugouts are really "dug out" so they don't interfere with anyone's line of sight. Nice field - it'll be really nice when it's all done.

Sequatchie has, without a doubt, one of the nicest fields around. Nice Brick Press Box and Brick Stands. Beautiful cage and bullpen. Probably the most notable atrributes of this ball park is the scenery of the Sequatchie Valley and the mountains that surround it, which adds that good 'ole baseball feeling that can only be experienced in the south. They really upped the effort that went into maintaining the field, and even brought in a student that works for the lookouts groundscrew to maintain the field. As nice a field the Lookouts have, its easy to understand. They are even in contension to win TBCA's field of the year. If you haven't been there, please go. It's what make america's pastime a family experience. Don't take my word for it, look for yourself.

Definatly have to go with Harpeths field, you can sit up on the cliff about 25-30 feet above the field on the 3rd base side and look over the entire field and see everything that happens and watch a great game.

Great field to play on, but to watch, it's like a gravel pit with weeds and snakes!

oakland has a nice facility & they r in the middle of upgradin it again.

yes, i agree oakland is one of the better baseball fields i have played on. they have really good music and a lot of variety in it too (jonny cash to the latest rap). to go along with the music they have a really nice sound system and a first class scoreboard with lots of animations and effects coming up on it. the field is also in great shape to go along with it.

another great field would have to be farragut with great seats along with room for people to lounge out on a hill and watch. not to mention the beautiful field! ;)

Thanks BeaverPop, Bleachers are now finished and people are now seating way up HIGH. The view is great on both home side and vistor sides of the field. We made sure no ones view was blocked by the dugouts. In the last 3 years we have added a new field house , new out field wall, new in field, new block bleachers way up high, and the next project is to build a new concession stand to tie into the new block bleachers, it should be one of the best fields around. :thumb:

:P Have you been since they paved around the bleacher and concession stand area and built the deck on the pressbox? It's a pretty cool view on 'The Rock' with a few weeds (and snakes I guess), but there's paved areas for the less adventureous. :thumb:

Pope John Paul II High School has a very nice field. The grass and dirt are better than most College and Minor League Parks... I heard they are building concession stand, press box, and lights also!!!

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
