yeah really, JV is a bad excuse for soccer.

I think you are completely wrong. JV helps build players' skills and prepares them for the Varsity team in the future. They may not be as fun to watch or play against, but a lot of them play just to enjoy the game, which is why everyone should be playing in the first place. I know of a few JV teams that could probably beat Varsity teams.

what does everyone have against jv teams? i seriously doubt that all of you were so amazing that you skipped jv and went straight to starting on your varsity teams. who is the best jv team is a legit question because in two years most of them will make up the varsity team ;) therefore, the jv teams that are successful now will likely be successful when they are juniors and seniors on varsity. so my completely biased opinion is brentwood cuz i went there and they have been doing well on the jv level for the last couple years.

man you must be a JV player then, or was atleast, the only JV team that would beat a varsity team must be a pretty bad varsity team, not because the JV team is good. You could put the best JV players in the state on a team and they wouldnt beat the highschool team i played on.

    • Ok l will bite. What exactly are Football Families?
    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
