With the season about over, yall have seen most play in tourney , who can win state? or who will win state? what teams do you think will make there? and who will come out on top?

Region 5's strongest teams appear to be East Robertson, Chapel Hill, and Cascade.

Region 6 has Summertown,Columbia Academy, and Cornerville as solid teams.

I haven't followed other regions so I'll only comment on these two. I'd expect two of these teams to be sectional representatives. We (being Cascade) haven't proven ourselves this year like I hoped we would, but it is a very young team with only two seniors and one junior and the future looks very bright! :thumb:

Columbia Academy is very strong. They have very strong pitching for single A.

How is forest doing this year? are they not as strong as they have been in years past, i see were cascade beat them, and i also know that FCS beat them pretty bad, i thank it was 6to1l, what about summertown, i saw them play in franklin, they looked week to me,is there not a power house in A this year, CA i hear is pretty strong, i have no seen them play, What about east roberson? don't know any thing about them, this could be a fun year for a run at state.

Cascade hasn't beat Forrest in years and haven't come close this year. Forrest beat Cornersville 13 - 0 this past Thursday and at the Coffee Co tournament today lost to Red Bank 2-1 in a very good game and Beat Rhea Co. 14-1. Things are coming together and they are a real threat.

Just a little more food for thought about the Lady Rockets, In district play they have out scored the other team by a total of 118 - 6. Half of those games the starters played three innings or less showing you the depth on the bench. We struggled early against good pitching in tournaments but that is why we have been going, to play top 2A and 3A teams to see better pitching to make a run at State. And it's paying off they are a much better team going into post season.

Another of your comments also seems to be in error saying that Summertown looked weak. They won 26 games this year while playing some of the best teams in both Tennessee and Alabama. Check out their schedule. They went 4-2 against six AAA teams in the Border Battle and outscored the other teams in their district 138 to 5. They are ready to make a run for the title.

Congratulations to the Lady Eagles on winning the District 12a seasonal championship--going undefeated in district play.

Yes, looks like the Lady Eagles of Summertown are building up for another strong run. Good luck!!!

    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
