1. It is not Mt. Pleasant's fault they're in a weak region, however, they are.

2. Given a choice between Daily and Skogen, I take Dailey 7 days a week and twice on Sunday, no disrespect to Skogen.

3. In light of the recent stats posted on this thread, I think we can all agree that the best thing to do is call Troy Flemming and mail him the trophy :thumb::ph34r:

ok its simple who will get it if they go by staright stats marco if they go by the senior thing seith will if they go by stats and character chad will ( nothing against the other two but anyone who can deal with all that then come out and be a leader for his team and community just shows what kind of guy he is) good luck to all three

I have a couple of questions that some of you can help me with, I hope.

First, IA Fan, why would you say something, (Temple didn't compete with a varsity schedule Seth's first two years) that is so blatantly wrong and so easy to verify? Has postmodernism drifted even to sports forums where we just say whatever we want and it is true because it was said?

Second, defender25, have you seen Skogen play? If you have, then your comment is valid, if you haven't then how can you justify such a comment? You lose all credibility because then your point is an emotional tirade that has no substance.

Third, with regard to the above quote, "if they go by...character chad will..." Do you know the other two young men at all? How can you say one person's character is "better" than another, when you don't know the "other"?

Is Marco better than Seth? I have no earthly idea, I have never seen the former play. His stats are incredible. I have seen Seth, quite a bit actually, and he is a very good player as well. But I cannot logically compare the two because I don't know both of them.

Anyway, I am arguing only for a bit of logic, humility and common sense to accompany the arguements...it just makes them better arguments.

I think its a two man race, Dailey vs Skogen. No doubt that both are outstanding players and if either wins we can all say well done he deserved it. To take shots at or question any of these guys accomplishments is unjust. Obviously the folks that follow Skogen will pick him and the folks that follow Dailey will pick him. The votes are already cast. Good luck to the finalists, to even be mentioned as a finalist is an enormous accomplishment. I as well as all MPHS supporters am pulling for Dailey.

OK, all three of these players amazing stats...but one stat we have yet to speak of is the amount of time played. It would be so much easier to get 2000 yards when you are still playingin the 4th quarter, even though the game has already been decided. I know that Marco has only played a whole game twice this season. I am 100% positive that he could doubled his stats, had he played the whole game every game. So, can anyone tell us how much these players played this season?

I'm not sure how much playing time Skogen typically gets but he only touches the ball (on the average) 7 times a game. And so, for him to average 141 yards a game is pretty darn good for just having his hands on the ball so little times.

Yeah, as if Mt. Pleasant hasn't played a WEAK schedule.

Just to name a few:

Ezell-Harding

Huntland

Moore Co.

Perry Co.

Zion Christian

Cornersville

Columbia

Temple has played 5 teams with a winning record, winning all of them, and Mt. Pleasant has played 4 teams with a winning record, winning all but one, which was a 3a Giles County team, who are still in the 3a play-offs. Don't talk about weak schedules, neither team has a great schedule. And if you look on the CoachT strength of schedule rankings, you will see that Mt. Pleasant is 38, while Temple is 53. Maybe Mt. Pleasant has played tougher opponents.

Congrats to all three of these kids, I am sure they are all deserving of this award.

However, I have to go with Marco, he is absolutley awsome and fun to watch. I remember the first time I saw him as a freshman, and I knew then he was going to be something special :thumb:

CONGRATS MARCO, this "TigerMoM" is rooting for ya!!

141, I'll admit I haven't seen Skogen play personally. I get my info on him from friends. And I'm sure he's an excellent player. But I know Dailey's stats, and they are ridicilous. And much of my reasoning on this comes from the fact that, given a choice between an excellent running back and an excellent receiver, I'll take the running back/quarterback (in Dailey's case). So that's where I'm coming from there. But I don't have a dog in the fight, so I'm really not that concerned about it. I'm sure both young men are very deserving.

Marco has one more year to play & I am sure most of the ones listed will be owned by #12. You must not be too smart or intelligent yourself because he is only a Junior and has another year to go? How many did Skogen have when he was a Junior?

Who cares what position they play a record is a record.

I say that you do not make sense

I say you are basing how good Marco is on that he has a year left

I say that Mr. Football is not an award for what a player WILL do, it is on what a player has done and is doing

I say that next year marco could be "better" than Skogen, but we are talking about this year

I am not saying that marco is not a great player now

I say for all I know he is better than Skogen

I say, just make aruments that make sense

And....that is all I have to say
