Thanks to all the people from Loretto for treating me well during my many trips down there last week and today. Good luck to their seniors in their future endeavors as they turn the page on their high school lives. See the rest of you next season.

Sounds like a tough game for Loretto. I was hoping to see them move on to hopefully have a rematch with Marshall County who plays Tuesday at 4:00 @ David Lipscomb. Even though I couldn't stand Loretto on the field, I know its got to be tough for a team with such high expectations.

It was a tough loss indeed for Loretto, Liger711. Ezell's Pitcher Stephen Huff really had a good night as the Loretto batters just couldn't catch up with his speed. Loretto only hit 3 balls to the outfield - Wesley Gobble's double to RF and his fly ball out to CF and Heath Daniels' F9. Ezell hit 4 balls to the outfield - Matt Bobo's double to LC and fly ball out to RF, Derek Harrington's single to RF, and Taylor Trumphour's single to CF. Without the Loretto miscues (K-PB, WP, and infield error), this game would have been 1-1. Loretto just couldn't get the hits when they had runners in scoring position.

It wasn't the ending that you wanted mustangs, but you have done things that no other team from Loretto has done before. Everyone is proud of you and your accomplishments. Good Luck to the seniors (Lamm, Wiseman, Hoffmeyer, Kizer, Cox, Newton) and to you underclassmen for next season. Keep a new tradition alive.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
