I haven't been able to see any practice yet. Is the Purple & Gold game/scrimmage still on for Saturday? If so at what time?

Well apparently the Indians had a scrimmage at home against Hixson today. It would have been nice if they had gotten the word out that they were having it!!

 

Not even an article in the local paper or online about how spring practice is going. We need to hire a SID who can get things out.

 

We have a great looking website that still has not been updated in months even though the Schedule, Jamboree Schedule etc. is set.

The scrimmage was kept quiet, even from the players, so the players wouldn't focus on it all week and could just practice as normal. Hixson showed up and then the players found out. It would have been a big distraction on the earlier practices this week. If they charged admission I'm sure it would have been publicized.

They never charge admission to scrimmages. Is this it or are they going to have the scrimmage saturday that they said they would??

 

I am not liking how this was handled. I at least expected a nice article in the local paper this week from the coach to let fans and alumni know how spring practice was going.

I'm saying if it was something like the barbecue fundraiser it would have publicized. This wasn't anything like that, teams had 3 or 4 10-play drives each and the JV's went one 10-play drive each. You didn't miss a lot. Seq did okay considering the classification of the opponent, didn't score and allowed two but wasn't just run off the field either.

I thought we did quite well considering only Knowing the off. and def for only about a week and what graduated last year. Hixson looked pretty good there selfs.The off and def will continue to get better through the summer and all will be better in the fall. Indian stop being so harsh on the team i know you want to see us win but be patient.

When I said he didn't miss a lot, I meant he didn't miss a lot of playing time in the scrimmage, not that the scrimmage went badly.

Does anyone know who the new assistant coach or coaches if they have any and what are there responsibilities will be? Will he/they be a coordinator or position coach?

I know the schedule I was jsut saying it should be released in the Tribune or on the SCHS website. They didn't have a thing about spring practice in the local paper.

Anyone that hasn't been to Sequatchie has missed some of the best facilities anywhwere. The football and baseball fields are great...well kept and picture perfect. I love the football stadium and the baseball bleachers. They do a great job.
