McKenzie will be back in Class A

Heck of a run for McKenzie this year. With the core of the team gone I don't see the Rebels in the mix of things next year. The pitching is gone. They did well with the 15 yrs. old Babe Ruth team but High School ball isn't Babe Ruth Ball. Most summer teams don't have many of their regular players on them. So the pitching for the Rebels isn't up to par. With no pitching you won't go far. Good luck anyway.

Oh we'll see. They have pitching. Believe me. Two of the pitchers play travel ball. One beat out 30 other pitchers to make a 18u travel team this summer at Lambuth tryouts, that is being coached by the same coach that won the 18u World Series by beating Canada in 2004 and he is also was the scout for the Seattle Mariners and is presently a birddog scout for the Washington Nationals. He knows baseball and he picked the pitching staff. The Kee kid is the one I am talking about and he had more strike outs than J. Keck in fall ball last fall in Jackson. Ranked third in k's per inning over 32 pitchers. He is only 16. He has struck out many 18 year olds and will be playing at Delta State this summer and in Pensacloa and Ole Miss. I would not count him out. We will see.

Is the Kee kid you talked about as you put it playing for the Tennessee Stars. If so that is a team of left overs. Kid that couldn't fine a team to play for anywere else. They won't be playing any real good teams. How about playing some Perfect Game Tournments down in Atlanta Ga. at east Cobb and see how good they are.

Next year 2007 look for the Mckenzie Rebels to be back. These Sophmores coming up have not shown to the public what they have done. Last summer most of the Sophmores played in the Babe Ruth league and came in 3rd in the state against 3A and 4A Schools.

    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
    • Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
