I read earlier that Westmoreland won the region weightlifting competition. but they won last years weight meet to.But it was different when they hit the field. could Westmoreland have a shot at 1st place in region? I do know that westmoreland didnt lose but 7 seniors so that could help them! I dont know whats your guys thoughts????
OWLSRULE
Smith County will win this region again. They weren't hit very hard ny graduation either. Yes, they came in second again by a very slim margin in the weightlifting competition. Sounds awfully familiar to last year. I think Westmoreland will come in second followed by York and then Upperman.

I think Westmoreland will come in second followed by York and then Upperman. Don't forget about Cannon Co. They looked pretty good last year and are an up and coming team. Not saying they have a chance to win the region but could pull into the playoff hunt around 3rd or 4th.

theoldballcoachbaby
What 4 teams from region 4-2a will make it to the playoffs and who do you think will make it far in the playoffs...... or even past the first round These are my picks and just an opinion: 1. Smith County 2. Westmoreland 3. York 4. Upperman Really had to guess about the last two.
CC79
These are my picks and just an opinion: 1. Smith County 2. Westmoreland 3. York 4. Upperman Really had to guess about the last two. I think if cannon county really buckles down like i know they can they will be able to put upperman out of the running. The reason for this is that if you saw the film of their game last year then you know that they were ooly 1 yard short of the win and that won't happen again cause those boys have been hitting the weightroom hard in the off season and they can really compete with almost anydody in their region. With the exception of westmoreland, who happened to blow them out last year. Well fellas i was in tha weight liftin meet and i wouldnt count smith out of nothin to westmoreland cause smith has some pretty big ole boys so that i don't think will matter when it comes to actually playing. Stark1
Smith County will take this region again. They just came got through playing at a 7 on 7 passing camp at Vanderbilt where there was some very good teams. Beat a couple of 5a schools, and i think finished with a 9-4 record in two days down there. lost to Smyrna, a team from south carolina ranked 7th in the nation, and a team from arkansas, and not sure about the other, they were in evry game they lost except for the one with the nationally ranked team, in which they lost by 21 I think. Anyways I really dont see anyone in this region beating them this year. Should be a very exciting season, with high expectations for the owls. Week zero will be here before you know and the Owls are welcoming Knox Catholic to Smith County, could be a different ballgame this year. Westmoreland will give them a run for their money though. Westmoreland also went to a passing league tourny in Ky. I don't know how that went but I know 10 schools were there along w/ some 5a schools from Tennessee and highly ranked teams from Ky. I did hear word on their lineman competition though Wesmotrelands lineman I heard dominates just about every activity they had set up for them and this is against 5a schools!! but also Westmoreland went to Portland and had a 7 on 7 Game and beat them 10 TD's to 2, I was there and seen it! So dont count Westmoreland out yet! It is indeed gonna be a very exciting season for Region 4 2a, and a very exciting game when Smith co. plays at Westmoreland! I expect a huge crowd there to support both teams! that will be the game too watch that week! so everyone is welcome!

I think SC should just forfeit and avoid the embarrassment. We're small...but slow. How could we possibly compete with the Eagles?
