I don't think he failed expectations unless it was on the business part of it....Because he done well as a Football Coach...

Why would it get ugly? Looks to me he did a great job. There must be a good reason for him to leave...especially the President's job.

Sad to see Akins leave. I heard from a good source it was due to personal reasons for him to resign. He will be missed at Boyd. He was a great person.

If I'm guessing right about your source, than your information is quite reliable. "Personal reasons" should be good enough for any of us on this board to accept. There are a lot of vultures who are wanting to find a scandal in this, and I think we should all just leave it as it is..."personal reasons"...and show some respect to Robert and the school.
