basically the east is known for their poweful (par'ful) individuals and a couple of powerhouse teams (i.e.McCallie and Oak Ridge) where as middle tends to have more balanced teams lacking superstars, but still having 5+ fast guys who can compete as a team and win.

Middle has better teamwise... tis why they usually win state (ok that's more FRA in the past 7 years )

 

East has produced most of the top 3 over the years.

the old vaughns gap course is not THAT hard. once you get to the bridge, your pretty much done. yeah there are more hills but, yeah.

i ran the old vaugns for a fun time trial one day and i bout died, ur a better man than me

 

kathy amazes me bc i hear she deosnt get much milage in, i honestly dont think she will get much better this year

I agree that she wont get a whole lot better this year, and another possibility is that as a girl gets older, their hips get bigger, that can hamper their running ability, but we'll see
