It didn't get cancalled. We did pretty good. :thumb: Could have done a lot better. A few dropped passes and a few interceptions. Sherrod wasn't there so that was a big loss. Unfortunately I don't think he is going to be there tomorrow either.

Thats all we get, no details? What was the score, how did Spencer look, who stoodout, who still needs work, who's a sleep we should look out for? Inquiring minds want to know

Carter had more passing yards and more points but their offense is geared for the passing game. Sherrod was out on vacation, so we missed him. Tyler Stepp debut at wide out. He has the size and speed but needs to mature mentally in order to play at this level . There is no doubt he will, it just might not be this year....He will certainly benefit by Sherrod being on the opposite side. He didn't make adjustments on the ball and allowed some interceptions to occur that shouldn't have. He has a bright future.

Spencer looked good at times but did make some bad throws. He appeared to lock on to a pre-determined receiver and throw regardless if he was open or not.

Zac looked very comfortable and appeared in more control of the offense as opposed to last year. Both will play.

I think that TE's looked much improved. Adam Ricard and Whitehead both displayed good hands. It appears that we will use McFall more in the slot position and get him involved in the passing game. He had 1 TD reception on a quick hitter up the middle.

Most of the time, we had 4 sophmores in the secondary. Sherrod was out, Zac Long has a hip injury and stayed out . McFall is playing 1 corner. Hard to know who will start. We need a hardnosed strong safety that will be a good tackler. .......soph Will Brooks looks like a good FB player...Yeary appears ready to go......coaches are optomistic about the offensive line.....Whitehead has gotten bigger but maybe a little slower, hopefully not. Overall, it was a good first outing.

Thanks for the great report, sounds like Whitehead has been spending A LOT of time at the House of Pain. Doubt his dad would let him lose speed though, knowing coach lol

Jeff County will miss having a player like Reliford in the secondary this year. Trey brought a lot of leadership to the field when he was surrounded by young players last year. He did a good job of dropping back in coverage, as well as playing more up front.

You are exactly right DZ! However, this team (everyone of them) needs to forget the past seasons and approach every practice, scrimmage and game with a positive attitude. A winning attitude. If you think like a loser then you will lose. A defeatist attitude never won anything. They seem to focus on the other teams record, size, etc... These guys have got to remember it aint over until the largely obese (OK FAT) lady sings. Any given Friday night its their night to win. It was stated that they haven't beaten Dobbins Bennit in 14 or 15yrs. Who gives a crap. That is over and done with! This is a new season and a new team. If the PATS haven't beaten a team in a while so what. Let the other team think they are a push over. But prove'm wrong on the field and the scoreboard where it counts.

How bout it Patriot Players. Are you getting the message or am I wasting my breath here?

McFall was making the transition for QB in middle school to RB in HS, not to mention he was only a freshman. When you are still a kid going against fully matured seniors there are times when you might look a little out of place.

The fullback position will be the hardest to replace because Trey Reliford did so much for the team last year, both on the field and leadership wise.

Brett Denton has really turned into a hoss and will anchor the line. He went to the Univ of Bama camp of few weeks ago and was bragged on by some of the UA coaches.

And PTS, ill check on the date later in the summer, this was just the rundown i got from one of the coaches.

The Pats will go to the playoffs this year, how far I don't know. Both sides of the line will be awesome. But how do you get Denton is a hoss,I totally disagree with that.He may be able to lift weights, but doesn't know how to play ftb.

As far as him going to UA's camp, that doesn't make him a star and doesn't mean they ask him to come,he's not a D1 player. Anybody can go to camps.Look a J Bell he's going to go to Auburn. And Ric He was the best T.End at C-N's camp from what is said. The best thing that could happen is to put Denton on the same side as Green and then he might be a hoss. And he needs to stop the brown noising with coach U.unless he has to be like Manis. If that is the only way he can play Well,I wouldn't play.

go Patroits!!!! It takes 11 not 1
