Man you guys have been busy!! Sounds like we are going to do "where's Waldo" again.

 

Riverdale is officially the underdog in the region now. In the 'Guru's' mag the pick is Smyrna to win the region in the region coaches poll.

 

Of course, the statewide poll has Riverdale winning the state.

 

The Guru's own picks are Franklin to win it all with both Riverdale and Smyrna in the top five.

Oakland 'COULD' be a spoiler for some teams this year if you look at them logically.

 

First off their line has put alot of muscles on they haven't had the past couple of years.

 

Second, they have been playing lots of YOUNG folks that now have a couple of years experience.

 

Third, their offense started to gel at the end of last year. While they got beat they played R'dale ALOT better than either Siegel or Blackman did.

 

Fourth, they DO know what it is like to actually win the Gold Ball. They have made it before and it was in the last 15 years.

 

This region and where folks finish 'could' come down to week 10 and the 'Battle for the Boro' once again.

 

Now for my prediction of the Smyrna v LaVergne game. Smyrna. Sorry LaVergne but your showing in the passing tourney did NOT help you, and it cut your 'intimidation' factor by at least half.

yeah, but come on........you can't really judge WC on this because they haven't existed that long. that's also the case with Siegel and Blackman. Wow, but there is one school you didn't mention, and that is Lebanon. Lebanon has beaten Riverdale, they were actually the last team to beat them in a region game. 1993, score was 6-0. Was at that game, and it was a classic. Too old to play, but not to old to remember it.
