I think both Riverdale-BA or Riverdale-Maryville might draw some interest.

We need to get Hoover, AL up here to play one of our top teams.

The following schools would be great to bring into Nashville to play some of Tennessee's best:

Valdosta, GA DeLaSalle, CA Southlake Carrol, TX Hoover, AL

Cincinati Moeller, OH Byrnes, SC (maybe another team would have better luck than MBA)

The problem is what local Middle Tennessee teams could compete with any of the above schools?

As you know, there have been a few of Brentwood Academy's teams over the years - most recently the '95 and '96 teams, as well as a few MBA teams - most recently the '99-'00 teams (and to a lesser extent, the '03 team), which would represent Tennessee well if some semblance of those former teams were to reappear.

Let's face it - the Byrneses and Hoovers are national/regional names du jour, and have great teams currently (Byrnes was indeed awesome last year, and even one of MBA's great teams from the past would have had its hands full with Byrnes '05), but both programs are a coach and a decade removed from being programs having 4-5 losing seasons in the 1990s. My point is, while I'm certainly not trying to make a comparison of Tennessee HS football versus other states, I am saying that an MBA is not always going to be down (relatively) as they were in 2005, and that schools like Hoover and Byrnes aren't necessarily always going to be head and shoulders above Tennessee's best. MBA 2005 didn't have much luck against Byrnes, but that doesn't necessarily portend what future Big Red squads would be able to do against another state's best. The Bolles '99 and Trinity '03 wins by MBA certainly make up some for the Byrnes '05 debacle.

Valdosta would be great to get up here, for name recognition, but VHS has lost some luster, and is currently second fiddle in its own county.

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
