Harpeth's Scott Erland signs w/Lincoln Memorial University

Harpeth's 6'6" LHP/1B Scott Erland signed with LMU earlier last week. Erland posted a .77 ERA throughout his senior year going 11-1, going undefeated throughout his senior year until losing his first game of the year against USJ in the First round of the state tournament on a 2 day rest. Scott went on a 17 game winstreak with wins over 3 state Champions Milan (04'champs) 3-2 in substate of 05', David Lipscomb (05'champs)14-1 in substate game of 06', Farragut(06'champs) 8-2 in Bruins Classic. Erland, was the unsung hero of the class of 06' going 11-1 .77 ERA without recognition from many area colleges that overlooked him, congrats Scott you really deserve this you had a great highschool career! Only the best is to come in college. Hopefully I will have the honor to catch and call pitchs for you again in college.

I have heard that this is going to be probably the most talented recruiting class Coach Sziksai has had since taking the head coaching job there. Congratulations to Scott!
