Cannon County will need to be vastly improved from last year to make the playoffs. However, good luck. A win against Jackson County and Upperman will do the trick!

The Lions are getting close. Coach Barger is doing a good job and the excitement has returned to Woodbury. Depth and speed are a concern. Good luck in 06.

I wouldn't be surprised if they snuck into the 4th spot and a possibly a 3rd place with some help.

yeah speed i don't think has ever been a plus for cannon.i think they have too just use there size to keep everything shut upinside and i think they will be just fine

I think it will be tough for the Lions to make the playoffs this year. Upperman has 9 returning starters on offense and I just heard they have had some good players to transfer in from Texas.

In the late 90's Cannon County had a short, about 5'4", African American kid that could move pretty good. The team was terrible, but that kid stood out. Anybody remember the kid's name or what happened to him. Also, always heard the rumor that Patrick Turner grew up in Cannon County and went to school their during elementry and middle school. Any truth to this?

I watched them scrimmage Franklin Co. in the rain Friday. We looked pretty good on defense, but the offense had several turnovers and the running game really never got going like you want it to. Which is ironic because our "O" was believed to better than our "D". I going to watch them scrimmage White House this afternoon. Should get a good idea of were we stand. I heard your Lions looked pretty good against "the valley" Indians.

We have scrimaged Cannon Co. twice this year and i was very pleased with their performance i see them making to the playoffs again this year!!!
