pain train
i went because i thought i would see a good game. i left at the middle of the third and the lions had a 51 point lead with the ball. i was mistaken
mtnman
Don't think Allison was ready. The Bucs can't expect a guy that has never played high school football to step in and lead the team at quarterback. I am sure they will improve. Sounds like Allison has some potential but can't expect to step and lead like Healy and Akins did. The Bucs will improve.
divepix
If you were there, you saw what happened. CPA came out, dominated, and never looked back. Boyd couldn't hold on to the ball, got a punt blocked, and took a safety trying to avoid a pass rush that came all night. I know Boyd is banged up and missing some good players, but CPA looked very good on both sides of the ball. All those young guys who took some lickings last year are back and clicking. FBGIRL
Sorry Bucs fans. Now you know how we felt last year. Hope your season gets better. CPA was well prepared and I was impressed with play on both sides of the ball. Go Lions!
Jim Jibberish
It sounds like Boyd got a good cracking tonight at CPA. Slim Jimmy thought this would be a closer game than what it was.
reaction
I wasn't at the game but the score says it all. Looks like Boyd got whipped all over the field. I heard Boyd gave CPA the ball 3 or 4 times inside there own 30 yeard line with turnovers. I guess CPA had to return the beating that they got last year. Good luck CPA on your season. You should do well and keep improving and make a run in the play offs if you keep playing like you did tonight. I hope this series between these teams continues. BUC4LIFE
To start with this is a very young Boyd team. They played hard but obviously were no match tonight for a seasoned CPA team. We will improve and learn from our mistakes. With that said CPA is a CLASS ACT like no other!!!! They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived on campus. Their fans, coaches, players all were awsome. We work hard at Boyd to leave a good impression on people that visit. I must say that CPA has set a new standard. We have nothing but love and respect for all the Lions and wish you well. Hopefully we can meet later in the year, but we have a lot of catching up to do first. Thank you for your hospitality. Good Luck.

We look forward to playing against quality programs, ya'll have always been great to us. Looks like it was our day, but BB's program is on solid ground and ya'll will come back. Hope we get to see ya'll in the play-offs. Good luck against the Pirates.
37421
If you were at the Tyner game in the playoffs last year then you 've seen it before. I think that the Bucs need sponsorship from..... velcro! Seriously, a young team, key players out or injured (lost another one early in 2nd quarter) and jitters inside their own 20 cost the Bucs big-time. 37 points off turnovers in one quarter! Don't fret it though, there are better days ahead for these guys. They'll be clicking here in a few weeks. Congrats to CPA- looks like a great year ahead for them. Lets see: Driving rainstorm: Advantage CPA. OT in Blucross Bowl: Advantage CPA. Boyd home game: Blowout advantage Bucs. CPA home game: Blowout advantage CPA. Just ONCE I'd like to see a "normal" game between these teams!

Just ONCE I'd like to see a "normal" game between these teams! The driving rainstorm was a mismatch in CPA's favor - the best team CPA has ever had and possibly the best single A team in TSSAA history - undefeated with 6 D1 signees. The OT game in the state final was a "normal" game - as evenly matched a game as you will ever see, and a GREAT game. CPA won on sheer will in the end stopping Boyd on 8 plays in a row on the last possession. Edited August 21, 2006 by divepix
