KevB1990
Alright...I have no arguement with hitting it twice. Wasn't given that info, but if you both saw it then I can agree with the will to win in the clutch.

KevB1990
Down to the nitty gritty... Week 8 Gibbs at Carter: What to think? The Eagles pulled out a win over Rutledge two weeks ago then got clipped by Claiborne last week. Carter is on the same roll they were a year ago and unless they get the lookaheads to next week's rematch with Fulton they should have no trouble. Carter by 28 Union Co. at Seymour: The Eagles stopped a three-game skid by pummelling Pigeon Forge last week while Union Co. has lost three of their last four after last week's 35-10 beatdown at the hands of the aforementioned Carter. The Eagles are looking to keep in the hunt for a potential home playoff game and will be in top shape to handle a team they've never lost to. Seymour by 17 Pigeon Forge at Rockwood: The Tigers (from Dolly Parton country) will make a desperate attempt to snap an 8-game losing streak dating back to last season when they travel to Roane County for their final non-region game of the year. The Tigers that wear green and white will be hoppin' mad after getting blanked by top-ranked Alcoa last week and should handle whatever PF throws at them. Rockwood by 21 GOTW Claiborne at Rutledge: This is for playoff position. This is for pride. This is as close to playoff atmosphere as you get for this week in the season. The Pioneers got a week off to prepare for the Bulldogs and much like last season, the Bulldogs beat Gibbs after Gibbs tripped the Pioneers by a single point. This season, the game is at Optimist Field and the Pioneers have more than they did a year ago when they won their only region contest of the season. Should be a tight game, but the home team wins on Senior Night to take over control of second place behind Carter. Rutledge by
splainshornets
In all actuality Carter fans are rooting for Claiborne. With a Claiborne win and a Carter Win. The Hornets would clinch the region. Of Course we all know what the Bulldogs will do (COUGH COUGH) Edited October 13, 2006 by splainshornets
utclaiborne
I dont think the bulldogs will (cough cough). It will be a close game. But Claiborne will win by 1 point. 28-

KevB1990
It would be a monumental step for Claiborne if they can close strong...but history says no. RUTLEDGE fans are rooting for Carter... Should've taken care of business in Corryton two weeks ago, but losses to Claiborne, Carter and Seymour would do nicely...
