:thumb: I think that every high school football team in Tennessee has their own best player... My personal favorite for Greene County football is Adam Sizemore... but maybe that's just me. Also, for Greene County, I believe that some teams that didn't do so great last year are gonna be really good this year... and north greene will NOT beat south greene.

Nice Tawnya.

Tavis Hogsett from JCM is the best in Tennessee. I don't care what the papers say Travis is the real deal.

I dont think he is the best but he is the most underrated by far. Alex Watkins is second. Alex got the recognition that counts, the ones from coaches offering D-1 scholarships. But Hogsett is not even seeing the offers that a talent like his should be seeing. Chris Waker doesn't get mentioned much either, but he's holding offers from 10+ schools. Big names such as Ut, Michigan, and Miami.

I would say Golden Tate is your best talent in the state and will draw national attention. Still, I saw Chris Donald play for Huntingdon the year they had Terrance Edwards as Mr. Football and won the title against David Lipscomb. That team was unstoppable offensively and could have won the 4A or maybe the 5A title that year. Donald was a great player even as a freshman. He was 6'1" 195 fullback then, and I couldn't believe it when I looked on the roster and saw he was a freshman! I thought back then he would be a big-time prospect. By the way, that Huntingdon state title team had Terrance Edwards, Boo Weathers, and Chris Donald all in the same backfield, and that was by far the best group of backs I have ever seen in a high school backfield at the same time.

    • Wow, that really stinks. I hate that for you guys.
    • Not sure what you mean? 40 TOTAL? Macon is a good team no doubt, but I believe they've only scored 35 total points against Uppeeman the last two years, and that's over three games.
    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
