starts at 7:30pm

fs is coming in at 0-2 with a lost to Warren Central,Ky 28-0 at WKU and a lost at home to Trigg co 21-2

Two young and inexperienced teams make for an interesting battle. If White House can't figure out how to stop the run, it could be a long night. Of course, I never pick against the boys in TRUE BLUE!!!

I have to agree with advocate23, if we can't stop the run it's not gonna be good the boyz in blue. They HAVE to learn how to tackle. It was pretty frustrating watching that game Friday night knowing that with just a few key stops the outcome could have been much different. Some of the worst tackling I've seen from the Devils in a very very long time. I'm sure they will do what's needed to get that corrected and I look for definite improvement this week.

I thought we looked better tonight, but we are still a little rough around the edges. There were times that we needed to make key stops and couldn't. Stopping an offense on short yardage just isn't our thing. FS went for it a few times on 4th and short, and bulldozed ahead for a first.

Our tackling is indeed getting better, but we have to play a near perfect game to beat Portland at home. These missed tackles and the occasional indecisiveness on throwing plays will bite us in the butt if we don't get it corrected.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
