ok folks I give credit to all those teams from East Tn that brought home the trophy for the past couple of years, but West TN has the power houses for sure, specifically region 7-3A.

Its simple look at each years list of the top ten for the state, Dyersburg, Covington, and Crockett County, all of these have made the top ten for the past 6 years and they're in the same region, its no wonder by the time that playoffs roll around that these guys are wore out from playin 2 other top ranked teams at least 2 along with the other teams that they have had to play during playoffs.

Now i aint sayin that there arent some good teams that come outa East and Middle, but the way the regions are split up are really mixed up in West at least i dont know how yall feel bout it, but i think its time some re-districiting was done so as some of these better teams can make it to the playoffs, and do away with teams that have 6-4 or 5-5 records from being in the playoffs simply because the rest of the teams in their region stunk, Come ON TSSAA get to work on this already!!!!!!!!

2001: Austin East (beat Crockett Co. in the Class 3A Title Game)

2002: Ridgeway (beat Fulton in the Class 3A Title Game)

2003: Fulton (beat Covington in the Class 3A Title Game)

2004: Fulton (beat Greenbrier in the Class 3A Title Game)

2005: Livingston Academy (beat Lipscomb in the Class 3A Title Game)

Region 2-3A has had a representative team play in the title game for the last five years running now and four out of those five years the 2-3A team went on to win the title. The only exception was Ridgeway and they're now a 5A school.

I think it's safe to say East-TN has owned Class 3A ;)

7-3A has a great bunch of teams in that region. If you go back 6 years and look at it. Very easily you could have seen either Fulton or Anderson Co. play in the championship game instead of AE. In 2002 you could have seen either, AE, or AC in the championship game instead of Fulton. In 2003 you could have seen AE, AC in championship game instead of Fulton. 2004 could have been AE instead of Fulton. In 2005 the fourth place team Livingston Academy in region 2-3A won it, and you could have easily seen AE, Fulton,or Catholic play in it. Had one of the teams in region 7-3A won it several times like that of 2-3A I could see a legitimate argument. Until they do it will have to go to 2-3A.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
