Riverdale vs. LC

Riverdale is no doubt the favorite, but I personally have no doubt that the Falcon defense can hold the Warriors to three touchdowns or less, and the Falcon offense can put three touchdowns on the board, IF...and I do mean IF....the Falcons play to their potential and don't make any serious mistakes.

I'm hoping for a great game at the Pit!!!!!!!!!!!

im VERY confident in the warriors and while LC is on the come up again, it would take a bad game for us to lose (we played a good game at mccallie, they were just a team good enough to beat us after they took advantage of our mistakes). im excited that this will be a good game and that it wont take lincoln county their last possesion of the game against our 3rd defense to get into positive yardage, this year it will be a good matchup like some of the riverdale/LC games in the past i believe. very excited to be going back down to the pit, it was an awesome place in 2004 and im sure nothing has changed

The Pit is a great venue...probably my favorite place to play.

It's going to be a very good game and I think both coaches will be looking at this game to gauge where they are heading into the meat of the schedule. This is the first really outstanding defensive line that Riverdale has seen so it's going to be interesting to see how we do. Big challenge for our OL.

this will be interesting

rdales run offense against lc and their best part of their team their run defense

it will be strength against strength

as for the pit

the last 2 play off games smyrna played them it was a ghost town. apparently when lc loses a game or 2 everyone stays home

I hope it is packed because it can be a great place for a game but lc fans only support a winner and don't mean a 7 wins - 3 loss type winner they expect 10 and 0

But I will go with lc on this one they have been my dark horse all yr and their defense especially their d line impressed me.

    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
    • I was kind of surprised to read this. I thought the general concision was most programs are going back to natural grass. Personally, I have never liked turf. I see the arguments on both side for or against it. I just never liked them. Also, I did not know there as an impaction test that these fields had to pass. Good stuff OP
