McNairy (1-2) vs South Side (3-0)

This one has all the familiar symptoms of a blowout undefeated powerhouse against an underachieving group South Side wins BIG!!!!!

Chester County (0-3) vs Liberty (0-3)

Battle of the regions winless I think ill take Liberty in a close one

Lexington (2-1) vs Bolivar (2-1)

The Red Tigers comes to Bolivar runs into some Green Tigers riding high on the beginning to a win streak Bolivar by a touchdown

Fayette-Ware Idle this week

i think it is a good call to but mcnairy's defense has improved and is alot better than when they got beat 42-0 to fayette ware. they held westview to 10 points and they should have won. i dont think it will be a blowout between these two teams. whoever wins will win by 7 or 14 points!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. We need not underestimate any team at this point. When you do, you get beat. All of these teams should take it one game at a time and learn from each one. The JCS game wasn't as big a blowout as it looked. These kids were tough and just didn't execute like they should. Good luck to them all!

What game was you watching? SS had 500 plus total yards to JCS 100. Nick Melton had 2 yards rushing. SS had 2 backs with 100 yard plus and 2 with 60 plus. It was 42-7 at halftime. any way here my picks

Jackson SS 34 Mcnairy7

Liberty 21 Chester co. 0

Lexington 21 Bolivar 13

All I was saying is JCS was tougher than it looked. Defense had a little tougher time with JCS than they have had the two games prior. SS deserves all the recognition for a great game......I was not trying to take anything away from them. It would be nice, though, if there were some coverage on how well South Side is playing.

If they beat JCM they will get alot of respect. They really haven't played a tough team yet.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
