whiteadventurman
Home team always wins in this series...so I'm thinking... The Real 'Wood (Brentwood) 27 The Other Wood (Ravenwood) 6 Correction - The real "WOOD" would be BrentWOOD Academy. Neither Brent- nor Raven- seem to be able to beat the best team in Williamson county year in and year out.
cpk20
Correction - The real "WOOD" would be BrentWOOD Academy. Neither Brent- nor Raven- seem to be able to beat the best team in Williamson county year in and year out. It all goes to show what terrific football players/teams come out of the area...Both Ravenwood losses to the "Woods" cames down to a missed extra point. I'm sure Brentwood would like to play BA before you make the claim that they can't beat them. All in all, it's fun to have the rivalry and some years will be "up" years for each of them. goal!!
Correction - The real "WOOD" would be BrentWOOD Academy. Neither Brent- nor Raven- seem to be able to beat the best team in Williamson county year in and year out. Brentwood doesn't have anything to gain out of playing BA so why would they play them? fromthetop2
The real wood being BA?? Puleese. It doesn't count if your players don't have a 37027 zip code. Smyrna is far more potent on offense and defense. This game was a terrific moral booster for the Bruins. Great to avenge some previous defeats and get it back on the home field. Both teams played a great game-no excuses from either side. Crawford & Co. did a great job preparing the boys. Yes, at this point Ravenwood has more athletes-hasn't always been the case and won't always be the case-but better athletes doesn't always translate into "W"'s. Preparation and desire can overcome a lot of deficiencies. Congrats to the Bruins-Keep on Bringing the WOOD!

It was a case of good ball control by Brentwood which kept Ravenwood's offense off the field that made the difference. I thought that Brentwood played well on the defensive side of the ball considering that they lost a number of starters from last year and to injuries this year. The biggest play turned out to be the blocked extra point that prevented Ravenwood from going up by 1...
TMA123
Because Brentwood and Ravenwood have limits on where they can get players from... I believe that Brentwood High is open zoned.
bwoodmom
I believe that Brentwood High is open zoned. We are open zoned to Williamson County only, and that doesn't include Davidson and Rutherford Counties or Georgia or Texas...... I believe that Brentwood High is open zoned. itzme
We are opened zoned to Williamson County only, not Davidson County, Rutherford County or Texas or Georgia... How about California? Surely at least a couple of the Nissan transfer's kids may end up at Brentwood High. Won't they be allowed to play a sport?
