Im not downing Polk, Howard, or anyone. Im saying Meigs deserves more respect than what they are getting. They will only be loosin three of their offensive starters next year and mayb two or three on defensive so look for meigs again next year. Howard is a good team, but if we play as a team like we did against Notre Dame, I and most people will agree they could beat any team in this region, IF they can do like they did against the Irish. Ask Notre Dame, they played heck of a game against us, and if you dont think so look at the statistics on times free press. they had over 200 yds offense so dont think Meigs just beat Notre Dame because the irish were havin a bad game. I look for Notre Dame to keep polks hands full. Meigs needs to keep focus on Grundy were people may think it will be close but you will see....Meigs at least wins by 3 tds. Meigs Lb has done caught Georgia Techs eye if he can get grades up. But look at the speed issue with howard, Polk was a slow, but hard nosed team last year, then take Notre Dame last year, ton of speed. When they played for the region championship it was real close so dont think just cause howard has speed they can win games, they may can catch Meigs tailback, Tyler Mobriant, but the question is can they bring him down? We will take it one week at a time and next week people on here can down meigs all they want to, that just gets them fired up.

Meigs is versatile. They have the running game when they need it and they also have the passing game when they need it. Meigs Qb has very qhjucik feet, he is a very quick 4.3-4.4 runner. He is also very accurately passer. Meigs has three guys with great hands they can throw to. Not counting the backs in the backfield. ln special teams, our starting outside linebacker is the main key. Almost every kickoff he makes the main taking the ball call fair catch cause he is always down there before the ball gets there, very fast athlete. They also have pretty decent kicker this year. They have the quarterback and a young freshmen quarterback that recieves the ball deep on kickoff....Freshmen kid is very very quick. People may be surprised when they hear about how good meigs is playing. but when they actually see meigs play, working together as a team, they agree that they will be headed straight towards region championship

The same ones as last year. Meigs didnt lose hardly anyone besides lineman and kicker. Still have the same backfield and mostly same recievers

There's nobody from Meigs that runs a 4.3-4.4 and there probably never has been. The closest would've been Brian Peck or Tyrone Jenkins on the '95 team. Tyler Roberts, Meigs QB this year, is a low 4.8 or high 4.7 which isn't bad. Fastest player for Meigs plays WR and S. This is probably the fastest team Meigs has had during Coach Martins HC career at Meigs but I can assure you they dont have any track stars.

Gator, you talk about how Meigs has outscored their oponents by 2-3 TD's and 99% of the defining scores come late in the game with more than a few of the starters still in. Polk has been ahead in every game with the exception of Loudon by no less than 21-0 at half time. Then played their 2nd string for 80% of the second half. Where's Meigs depth? They talked all this smack pre-game last year and what did it get them? A total of 40 or so offensive yards, and one trip across the 50 for a gimme TD because of a Polk fumble. Look at the games by quarter and see the difference. Don't get me wrong, Meigs will no doubt be the toughest game of the year but look at it from all points before you go on your whinny rants pouting about, we get no respect.

How did they do against Polk last year? Nevermind I just read the post before this one. Not too good. So Meigs has the same RB, same QB, that were shut down by Polk last year, Meigs has new linemen, and Polk apparently has a better defense this year than last. Yeah Meigs should win this one.........?
