Now the "margin of victory" line is all games averaged, not just "victories".

If you put them in order of the margin of victory the top ten looks like this:

1. Dobyns-Bennett

2. Gallatin

3.Independence

4. Ridgeway

4. Oak Ridge

6. White Station

7. Riverdale

8. Smyrna

9. Ooltewah

10. Franklin

I think the fan poll is closer to being accurate, but I'm going to watch this as the season goes on and see how close it is in the end.

My top three-

1.Dobyns-Bennett

2.Franklin

3.Gallatin

1. Franklin- looking for Sellars and Campbell to have figured it out by playoffs, coach has to put the ball in the hands of his playmaker.

2. Riverdale- something missing

3. Gallatin- strong but not strong enough, region 5 always falls to region 6! Turn out the lights....

4. Independence- its a long season

5. Oak Ridge- Dark Horse

Just1NP - Great Job!

D-B like the red sox....just don't finish well

R'dale is NOT running the scores up this year like in years past as Coach A is putting in the reserves earlier and longer. Also the second string defense is playing more this year, so opponents are scoreing more. That may be the difference you are seeing about R'dale. This is not the same as the 2004 team that had 8 shutouts and rightly so.

I think the loss to Indy was mainly due to the inter-city rivalry thing.

If they played each other ten times Franklin would probably win seven.

I think Indy is a great team and should be proud of what they've done (and will do). I just think Franklin will be a lot more ready for the pressure of the playoffs when the time comes. Especially after a wake-up call from Indy.

Now the light thing was a little cheap shot don't you think?

I am hoping, just hoping that Franklin and Gallatin have a future meeting. We don't forget who beats us at our house. But that game wasa classic- probably my most memorable Gallatin loss.

Don't forget Franklin lost Sellars ( QB) early in that game against Indy. Sellars is a great athlete and competitor. Also he is def a LEADER on that field. Losing him was HUGE.

this is an interesting stat to look at, but isn't very accurate(unless you are looking at a team like DB's stats who are completely ridiculous) but if you take a team like Ooltewah who is #9 when you are going by margin of victory, yet in the next 2 weeks they play two terrible teams in bradley and heritage where they should be able to score however many they want and not give up any, its just all about who you have played and when

    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
    • 1A: Brayden Baker - Eagleville Rylan Collins - Lookout Valley Luke Treece - Coalfield   2A: Carter Daniel - Loretto Gray Eubanks - Huntingdon Trevan Myers - Pigeon Forge   3A: Gabe Eddington - Montgomery Central Carson Parrott - Livingston Academy Jaxon Walker - Loudon   4A: Eli Evans - Farragut Andrew Hill - Central  Brady Scott - Sevier County   Division II-A: Wesley Alig - CAK Cooper Jones - Boyd Buchanan Gunner Skelton - Columbia Academy   Division II-AA Brock Beddingfield - CPA Dominic Monaco - Brentwood Academy Tomas Valincius - Baylor
    • MTD (Stanley Black and Decker) and UTM are the only thing keeping Westview's numbers up. Are school enrollments dropping in those listed schools too or just athletic rosters?
