just1np
this is an interesting stat to look at, but isn't very accurate(unless you are looking at a team like DB's stats who are completely ridiculous) but if you take a team like Ooltewah who is #9 when you are going by margin of victory, yet in the next 2 weeks they play two terrible teams in bradley and heritage where they should be able to score however many they want and not give up any, its just all about who you have played and when What you say is true. But DB was a big win against Oak Ridge and they still have that big margin. Same thing with Independence and their win against Franklin. Gallatin is the one team that looks better according to this stat than they probably are at this point, but that defense is awfully good. Two scores allowed in 5 games? Are you kidding me? Bdogg
1.Dobyns-Bennett 6-0 209 points scored, 37 points allowed. Average Margin of victory-28.6 2.Gallatin 5-0 139 points scored, 14 points allowed. Average margin of victory-25.0 3. Ooltewah: 5-0 137 points scored, 63 points allowed. Average margin of victory-14.8 4. Riverdale 5-1 205 points scored, 81 points allowed. Average margin of victory-20.6 5. Ridgeway: 5-0 135 points scored, 24 points allowed. Average margin of victory-22.2 6. Independence 5-0 166 points scored, 52 points allowed. Average margin of victory- 22.8 7. Oak Ridge 4-1 163 points scored, 52 points allowed. Average margin of victory- 22.2 8. Smyrna 5-1 211 points scored, 110 points allowed. Average margin of victory- 16.8 9. White Station 5-0 168 points scored, 64 points allowed. Average margin of victory- 20.8 10. Franklin: 4-1 110 points scored, 52 points allowed. Average margin of victory- 11.6 Now the "margin of victory" line is all games averaged, not just "victories". If you put them in order of the margin of victory the top ten looks like this: 1. Dobyns-Bennett 2. Gallatin 3.Independence 4. Ridgeway 4. Oak Ridge 6. White Station 7. Riverdale 8. Smyrna 9. Ooltewah 10. Franklin I think the fan poll is closer to being accurate, but I'm going to watch this as the season goes on and see how close it is in the end. My top three- 1.Dobyns-Bennett 2.Franklin 3.Gallatin You have got to be joking......Gallitan barely survived WC.......Smyrna could rip them a new one! just1np
You have got to be joking......Gallitan barely survived WC.......Smyrna could rip them a new one! Gallatin won at WC 21-7, Smyrna won at WC 20-0. Not a big difference there. Smryna is giving up 18 points a game- Gallatin has given up 14 points ALL YEAR. And like the last poster said...Ravenwood. just1np
You have got to be joking......Gallitan barely survived WC.......Smyrna could rip them a new one! Attention Smyrna: Here is an older example of how much trash you guys talk. Even when no one is going after you, you start this stuff. Two losses later have you thought about keeping quite?
