how can a 1-9 team make it?

 

Look at Region 8-3A right now. Frayser and Hillcrest are both awful but since the region only consists of five teams all one of them needs to do is to beat the other to get in the playoffs as the fourth seed.

 

Last year Sheffield did this with an overall record of 2-8 then once the playoffs started they beat a 10-0 #1 ranked team in Dyersburg.
