BOYS I HOPE TO SEE A GOOD PHYSICAL BALLGAME TOMMORROW NIGHT. MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN. I KNOW ACCORDING TO CAMDEN FANS THAT WILL ALWAYS BE THEM AND I AM SURE WHEN WAVERLY HAD ALL THE ATHLETES AND THEY WERE WINNING THIS BATTLE ALMOST EVERY YEAR THAT THEY WOULD HAVE SAID THE SAME THING IF THIS SITE HAD BEEN AROUND. THIS FIGHT RUNS IN CYCLES AND CAMDEN HAS HAD THE CYCLE THE LAST FEW YEARS. BEFORE THAT WAVERLY RAN THE CYCLE FOR A WHILE. DEPENDING ON WHO YOU TALK TO, DETERMINES WHO HAS BEEN WINNING MORE. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE OVERALL TOTAL FOR THIS MATCHUP TO SEE WHO HAS THE UPPER HAND.

In the past 40 years, I'd say football has been about 60% Camden and 40% Waverly. In all other sports Waverly has a larger winning percentage of around 70% over the Lions. This is not exact but is pretty close. I will work on it and come up with an exact number on football.

JUST WONDERING?

SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT WAVERLY PRETTY MUCH OWNED THE 80'S AND FIRST PART OF 90'S. DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE RECORD WAS BEFORE THIS TIME OR AFTER.

I think Waverly did own the late 80s and early 90s. Our program was down through those years with several coaching changes. Our good coaches kept moving up to bigger schools for more money and you can't blame them. Our bad coaches kept getting fired for, in part, losing to Waverly. Traditionally a Camden coach can lose to Huntingdon or Milan and keep his job. If he starts losing to Waverly, he can hear the hounds howling at the door pretty quickly.
