I agree after watching him play Safety against Maryville and McCallie he has proven he is the real deal. Reminds me of a high school version of John Lynch. He is a real headhunter. Both of his brothers are at the Naval Academy.

Sam can do whatever he wants. He had some great catches the other night vs sweetwater, and he will most likly excel in basketball as well. Anyone who has seen him play knows he has real potential. I believe he is near the top of his class, just like both of his brothers. I look forward to seeing him play the next few years. He may follow Ben and Ira to the Academy, but he may very well choose his own path. Can't say enough about Sam, great kid, great family. He is Alcoas future secondary leader, and defensive leader in general. I remember his name on almost every play during the maryville game, and he may emerge as a solid reciever. Everyone focuses on Kyrus and Brian, allowing Sam to become a better reciever.
