I dont know, I have trouble believeing that. Holwerda was a back to back Mr. Basketball winner and won a state championship(would have won two but there coach was an idiot.) I can see how talent in the area could be down, but not across the entire state.

Yes they were better than him we are talking about guys who were all americans and NBA prospects, I even left out Vincent Yarbrough who played in the NBA, Trust me I saw Holwerda, he was very good but I also saw or played against all of these guys with the exception of Fuqua who is much older than me, they were waaay better than Holwerdalike I said he was great so that should give you an idea of how good these guys were,

Wasn't Jake Skogen the 2003 Mr. Basketball? I think last year's paper quoted Seth when he was picked as a finalist as saying something about the "Skogen" name making people more aware of him.

3rd in the region means your season is done....did your team even make it out of the district last year? And didnt your team lose by 11 or so in the jamboree?
