I'll give you the WB debacle....but that 2004 OR team only lost twice, once to DB during the season and to Riverdale in the semis...so I don't count that as a choke..no more than you don't consider conceding to MoWest and Maryville a choke.

Listen....I have the utmost respect for the Viking program. But I always read how the Tribe "chokes" and I have shown you facts that in the recent playoff past, they have not had any less success than any of the local teams. Just want to disspell the myth of DB always losing in the first round. That is absolutley not any truer than any other team always losing or never winning. There are 2 definates in life...nothing is ever "always" or "never" the case ;)

I'm sure you do. I respect and admire the Dobyns-Bennett program as well, even though you probaby don't believe me. :thumb: My responses aimed at DB's losses are due to Waco being himself on here. None of them are an attempt to downplay Dobyns-Bennett's accomplishments, especially since their losses over the years have been to teams like Oak Ridge, Riverdale, and Ooltewah.

I hate to use the word choke and talk about high school kids but I constantly hear that related to DB and wonder how is losing a playoff game choking? I would love to see DB win a title but I am listening to Coach Clark talk about his daughter who just had surgery for a brain tumor.....its hard to really talk about kids choking in a football game when you put things in perspective.

    • They did a 10 play series deal instead of down and distance. LC scored twice but if it had been an actual game neither would have mattered because they turned over the ball twice with Sweetwater forcing fumbles both times. LC only scored on the 2nd stringers as well. Defense is looking solid and the offense has a good running back and receiver who did not play last year but made several great catches during the scrimmage, I believe the cats had some key pieces missing with baseball and track still being in season at the time. Considering the wildcats were matched up against a 5A school the cats held their own and forced multiple turnovers while also creating scoring opportunities against the LC defense.

I spent 27 years, faithfully in the United States Military. I don’t know if it was because I am Black or an easy target”
    • I don’t see any of them guys why leave programs to go there with no community backing or anything. Word up here on the hill is davy and veto into it over whose kid should be q b for jr high. Tough times in tc hope it all changes with a new face. And once again we aren’t giving up shoulders. And he doesn’t want that crap down there lol
    • They had the toughest bracket last year and no one said a word. You will never make everyone happy. Someone is always complaining.
    • Whoever gets hired I don’t think they will be there long, they’ll get ran out of town because they can’t win a tough region with a pee wee team.
