It will be a very tough road...playing Germantown in the first round will be a huge challenge. Crawford needs to be 100% for sure. The Region 7-5A vs Region 8-5A matchups should all be pretty interesting. Definitely not easy to get out of this end of the state...

Yes, Gtwn will be a challenge for Ridgeway but that's about all.

Ridgeway's defensive superiority over Gtwn should prove to be the difference-maker. Gtwn will struggle to score points, while Ridgeway should be able to put up at least 3 scores (assuming Crawford is healthy).

Ridgeway 20 --- Germantown 10

PS. If Crawford is not 100%, then then all bets are off! Gtwn might win 10-7.

TraderB - What do you know about G'town's defense?

Every game they have lost has been close. I know they kind of shot themselves in the foot several times against White Station, not sure about the other games. Ridgeway's defense will be tough. Crawford is looking better in practice. He only played 2 plays last week against Cordova. I think he needs to play this week just to get back in the routine of taking hand offs and hits.

They did make it to the semi's last year but this is not the same team...we lost a lot of key players from last year's squad. Losing our QB in week 2 changed everything! Overall, our defense is strong but I am not so sure that our secondary has really been tested as of yet.

How has the back-up QB done this year since Ridgeway lost their talented starter to a knee injury?

If Ridgeway defense can keep playing like it has, and Crawford can churn up some yardage, they will be tough to beat. We have not scored as much since QB went down, but we have been able to make it work. Again, the defense is key. Not to look to far ahead, but we should be meeting someone like Franklin or Dickson County in the near future...

I'd say you could meet any of four teams....Gallatin, Franklin, Ravenwood, or Dickson County. It's pretty wide open, with abunch of tough teams in this part of the bracket.
