I am glad he decided to come back he has a lot to offer the team and the wrestling community.

So since I'm the new fan in this Region who are the kids to watch @ 119, 125 & 130?

How many State Medalist does the region have returning?

I know Springfield has owned the Region but who's in the hunt besides the Commandos and Buc's?

With the addition of Turner the Commandos will have 3 state qualifiers returning. How about the other teams?

Springfield owning the region days are over, they have a very young team with 3-4 seniors, 4 juniors thats it, the rest are underclassmen who know a little. Our middle school team wasa cut so we dont have the early expierence we used to have, we arent gonna be a great team, we will be medicore but they should show up @ individual state and make some noise

My bet is Sergio Perry wins the region and medals at the state.

Hey Coach, is that Justin Shanes that you still have on your roster and if so what weight will he wrestle this year? And as far as Springfield OWNING region 8 last year, I'd have to say that they did an awesome job suprising everyone and did our region proud in the state duals last year showing tremendous heart which you cant just teach, but remember they only beat H-Town, Beech, and Smyrna but a couple of points in dual matches last year......... so I'd call it just RENTING.... Still, it looks like they're in the same boat as some of the other top contenders last year losing a bunch of talented seniors. Good luck to all.

I remember last year, Springfield coming out of nowhere. Don't count them out...They have some solid young wrestlers who most likely picked up on some good stuff from the Seniors who moved on.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
