I'm torn on this game! On the one hand, I am rooting for a fellow Region 7 team that is capable of going far. On the other hand, if Henry County can pull off the upset against Melrose - and they can - and if Fairley wins, the 3rd round would be at home for us. Also I would like another shot at Munford this year. So I don't know. Munford can win this game. But Fairley has an outstanding defense with lots of speed. It will be a good game that comes down to the wire.

Drew, after looking at the bracket on TSSAA website, if we beat Melrose our 3rd round game will be at home no matter who we play. Here is a link. Correct me if I am wrong.

This bracket is misleading. The H assumes that the home team will be the 1 seed from each region. Last year JCM represented that half of the bracket and got the homefield advantage. This year Region 8 gets the advantage assuming the number 1 seed advances. If you read the fine print on the playoff rules, the home team will go to the higher seed if both teams are from the same region. BUT, if both teams are of equal seeding AND from different regions, our side of the bracket gets the home game. Confusing, I know . . .

Man, that stinks. I was really happy. Oh well, we have to take care of Melrose and hope Fairley takes care of Munford now.

Im going with munford in this one do to the fact that they are on a roll, and all this talk about a great defense from fairley has been questioned because of the 24 points put up by a brighton team that is similar to that of munford's.All that ive heard from sources of brighton is that they have quickness and speed to burn u with. But also that they have a stingy defense that u cant just bend, but break. And i believe that munfords coaching, hard work, and discipline shines through on a way to a close victory.

I hope Munford wins this game. Because if we beat Melrose we will play Munford again. I would love to have that chance. But let's not look ahead, we must take care of business this week.

Ummm...I would be willing to bet that Henry County would much rather play Munford than Munford would want to Play Henry County. History repeats it's itself, but LUCK only gets you so far, and then it runs out.
