Hampton vs. Coalfield 2006 Edition

The thing that impresses me most about Hampton is that they are very balanced and get a lot of people involved on offense from the few films I have had an opportunity to watch the last three days.

I have not had the chance to see Hampton play this year, so i am not very familiar with there roster. And I know that they have won several games without the most dangerious player. So I was just wondering who are the other play makers on the team. Who has stepped up and carried them throught the games without Townsend.

i'm picking coalfield by 7, i think coalfield's defense led by mr. football finalist brandon davis at defensive end shows up and plays great and the offense scores just enough to win. and just out of curiosity who all is actually making the trip down here friday night?

I do believe Coalfield has an edge in depth, because they only have four two-way starters. They have played in a lot of close games and they are in good shape. Fatigue could become a factor in the 4th quarter of a close game.

I am sure that it will be a great game. But I think that Coalfield, if they play smart and inspired football, I think that they are 14 points better than Hampton.

Hampton has a very heady Lunsford running the show at QB. Jaynes and Milhorn are very solid tialbacks, while Irick and Oliver are both very good fullbacks. Lyons is the playmaker at WR/TE, while Newbern has made some big catches. Very solid line. Townsend back gives them another added weapon at tailback.
