From a football fan who was at the game , without ties to either team I thought it was a well played game by TWO championship quality teams. The officiating did seem to go FCS way from my point of view and if FCS doesn't Recruit I have two Questions. Why not? and Where are all of your short dumpy slow kids that will never see the field their entire Highschool carreer that graces the sidelines of every public 1A school in the state. I'm not trying to start anything but really why deny it. FCS doesn't have 65 kids on their team they have 65 ATHLETES. how does that happen in1A ball. Either way great game both teams Hampton and FCS should be proud of their young men!

At the end of 2006, FCS reported to the T$$AA that you had 217 kids enrolled. Privare must multiply by 1.8 which maked you have 391. Out of the 217 student, aprox. half would be boys, 109 and you have 65 playing football and only 44 not playing, so hampton, you should have about 225 out for football.

My point is, how do you get so all those kid our for football. Why is the percentage so high in privites compaired to public school?

These kids are challenged at an early age to be the best they can be at many different things.

Our school has had academic scholarships awarded to approx. 70% (someone may have the real #) of the seniors for several years now. The baseball team is very competitive, as are the girls sports.

Elementary and mid-school kids see the success and want to be part of it.

They work very hard at what they do. Nothing is handed to them, and we as parents are very proud of them, not for winning, but for trying so hard to be the best they can be.

Hope this isn't percieved as arrogance.

Friday nights ballgame was a true game of two champions. Its just to bad that the officals where not have that same championship caliber. Hampton never once had a call go there way and it seemed as if Friendship couldn't do any wrong in the officals eyes. For anyone that was at the game you know that Friendship was not any better. They just had all the breaks go there way, and thats football and thats why the game is played. Nothing taken from the Commanders they are a well discipled team and play well together just as Hampton is and does as well. The Commanders are also are NOT full of CLASS. When Hampton's QB was on the sideline noone seemed to care about him but the people from Hampton. The Commanders left the field not wanting to have the refs give the one more play due to halmet to halmet contact.. and the PA guy wanted to start the band and give some award out. #55 from Friendship should have been ejected from the game this week and next week. Hitting is great but just going to hurt another player is classless. Once again though those officals seemed to be in LA-LA land when the play happened. Well lets here your thoughts.......How about them Zebras......

The referee's didn't help our guys wrap up and tackle, holding your running game to very few yards on the night.

The referee's didn't help us outplay your big and slow line that we heard was unstoppable, and that was going to "BUSTEM IN THE MOUTH".

When a player is trying to score, and another is trying to stop him, sometimes violent hits occur. It's called "BUSTEM IN THE MOUTH" football. You guys just got out busted. :thumb:

You had 5 drives aided by penalties,at least 5 first downs aided by penalties, thats alot of extra possesions. I thing it was a bad night for the officals, and what in the heck were they doing huddled up with your team 30 minutes after the game, thats a first for me. I think this shoud be reported to the TSSAA. Anytime Friendship got in long situations and needed a 1st down, the officials come to the rescue. It happened all night.
