Congrats to FC Glad to see you made it. Can't wait to go to possumtown. How big is your seating for the away team

Should seat around 750-1000 with the temporary bleachers that have been moved in. However, there is plenty of room along the fence surrounding the field.

Had around 4,000-5,000 for the Gordonsville game last week and seating was entirely full as well as the fenceline. If you don't like walking better get there real early to avoid a long up hill hike to the field.

Congrats again!

Congrats to Hampton on a great win tonight. After hearing that you lost Adam Townsend earlier in the year I'm sure no one outside your community gave you guys a chance of making it this far. Glad to hear that your fine rb Townsend has healed and was returning tonight. From all I've heard he is a quality young man, leader on his team & school, and a great player. I for one was not surprised to hear of your victory tonight. We look forward to having you all in possumtown and expect a hard fought game for a chance to represent all of east & middle tennessee in the TITLE GAME! :thumb:

Very classey post 1a Man, I hope it stays that way. This was my guess along time ago, wasn't real sure whitch region 4 team , three really good ones. I've said all along region 4 had 3 of the best 5 in the state, I was right. I also said , I hoped Hampton was in that 5 somewhere, they are but I'm just not quite sure where they fit in that top 5. This will be a great game. Adam Wasn't near 100 percent tonight, but I'd say by next Friday, He'll be back to his old self. Friendship is an exelent team as everyone knows ,but I have a good Idea people will be surprised at Hampton. I think this one will determine the state champ. Both teams should be proud. Great seasons for both.

The main visitor stands are small so come early. The temp bleachers (2 or 3 row aluminum bleachers) are even smaller. The whole sideline is down lower than the field so visibility from the visitor sidelines is poor. If you have to stand the end zones have better visibility. People in the temp stands were standing on top of the seats to be able to see.

On the upside, FC folks are hospitable and even though it was muddy everything else ran pretty smoothly

I don't know much about Hampton but FC is very good. Better bring your A game :thumb: .

I think FCS left no doubters , they will be state champion's

Exactly...because, You thought temple would be champions because they beat S. Pitt, and then Friendship beat Temple, so now you think they'll be champions, and let me guess, if Hampton beats Friendship then they will be champions, and then if Hampton loses in the championship, the team from the west will be champions, right? Your going to keep predicting till you get it right.

Everybody knows Friendship is a great team, I think people are beginning to understand ,Hampton is pretty darn good themselves. I expect a dandy.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
