Appreciate all of the kudos for Summertown - but there is alot of basketball yet to be played.

 

Personally, last season, I thought was our best shot at a Gold Ball, but the late season injury to Tamia - with little time for some to learn new roles, caught up with us in the 'Boro. This year's team is a little deeper - and we have more Seniors (4) on the team than we have had in the past 6 years. Had only 2 Seniors last year and one each of the prior 2 years. We also have several younger players that just need time to get some experience. Hopefully we will come out on Saturday and play our kind of game against Forrest - we'll see.

As we watch these Lady buffaloes from Clarkrange, it is become very real to all of us that they are on the way to being 1-A state champions.

Wow those lady buffaloes...What a team!!!!

Don't get too cocky right yet...You still have to play this team again, at JC...yall beat them at Crange last year, but what happen at JC...and don't forget you still have RBS to deal with later on in the year...and then after you play them in the regular season...You gotta face them in the district tournament, and then the region tournament...Before you claim a state championship you better worry about the district and region because you've gotta get out of it before you can go to state...

Well, ptguard12, we are definitely in no position to move up your rankings now. Our best player (the best guard in the district) was hurt tonight against MTCS and it looked serious. I'm not sure if she has been to a doctor or anything yet, but she didn't go back in and we took a tough loss on the road. Maybe everything will work out.
