I listened to the last 3 minutes of the East Paulding vs Atlanta Marist game online. Marist won the semifinal game 27-7. Marist is a Georgia powerhouse. East Paulding was a program that had only won like 13 games in 3-4 years. It looks like Jon Reid and Tim Hammontree are turning that program around.

 

Jon Reid brought toughness to Alcoa. He also brought weight training to Alcoa. Tim Hammontree did the same for Maryville. I believe East Paulding will be good for years to come with those 2 guys leading the charge.

Congrads to coach Reid and Hammontree just shows theres talent at alot of schools if the persons calling the shots know what there doing.

Also on the East Paulding staff is former Pigeon Forge Head Coach Dave Ryan and Coach Robert Reeves of William Blount. As a former East Tennessean now living in Georgia it was a pleasure to have all of the Tennessee representation on this staff.

 

East Paulding was selected as the WAGA/Fox 5 team of the year. In the first 15 years of the school's football program they only won 38 games. During the 2006 season they won 12 games alone. Needless to say the football program had never made the state playoffs. This year they went to the semi-final game played in the Georgia Dome.

 

Great job Coaches: Reid, Hammontree, G Ryan, D Ryan, Reeves. Will never forget the turnaround of a basement program.

The name Tim Hammondtree is comming up in Harlan County KY, to coach a new school in that county. I believe he coached there at Cumberland High once before early in his career. Any information on this?
