I didnt hear anything on the Claiborne and Union County game but I did go watch the GP one. Neither team looked magnificent but GP made more plays when it counted. Mcbee played afraid and didnt shoot as well as he normally does. Who does rutledge play this week? I know that GP travels to Pigeon Forge which is county rivalry. Think it will be a good one?

It's early, anything can happen. It's hard to judge teams on their first district game of the season. Things change, people get better. Pigeon Forge, just remember, you have huge target on your back. Everyone gets pumped up to play you because of your success last year, so I wouldnt neccessarily count on those teams playing that bad against you. I'm not saying they won't, I'm just saying it's highly unlikely.

Claiborne County played Union County Friday night and only won by 2 pts. What is the deal with that because I thought Claiborne was supposed to be good. I am not putting down Union but that is a close game. Any info on that game please? Also G-P beat Rutledge by 15 or something. I have seen G-P play and they are very weak and they beat a Rutledge team who everyone is speculating to be a contender in the district. If they can't beat G-P, the only thing that they will be contending for is last place. Any information on that game as well?

Union county is for real other teams better be ready. Claiborne missed at least 12 @the charity line that makes a big difference.Estes & McCarty did put on a show for a pack house. Estes had 38 points with McCarty 25 the best proformance yet in district play.

Claiborne won the game by 3 points, not two. They would've won bigger if Estes would've passed the ball more and the insiders would've rebounded. Sure Estes had 38 points, but his isn't the only guy out there. If he would share the ball with O'Dell and Epperson, they may have bigger wins.

The Rutledge/GP game was sickining to watch. After a terrible start, Rutledge just didn't have the motivation that they needed. Maybe if the guys actually tried to set up and run a play, they may win a game. They just wanted to shoot the ball instead of run the plays and get an inside shot.

did anyone watch the claiborne and union county game i think claiborne won by 2 or 3

I was at the Claiborne game. They won by 2. If Estes would've passed the ball more, they may have won by more. Sure he had a game high 38 points, but if he would pass the ball and O'Dell and Holt would rebound more, they may win games like that by bigger margins.

I was also at the GP game they're the second worst I've ever seen and the first is Rutledge

PF fan 15. The second worst team will be in PF on Friday. You should run us out of the gym. You do have good seniors. Enjoy them. They will be gone next year. We'll see if your mouth runs as much next year with not nearly as much to back it up. You wanna bet on next year's GP-PF games? Wait till Holzer and Dyer get back. The moral of the story is this. Don't talk about other people's games. That's why they play em. You've got a good team. Be proud of em. Football wasn't so good to you, but I promise, you had some good boys, some good athletes, some good players. Sometimes, It just doesn't work out.

Our district will be fun to watch. Everybody stands a chance to win on a given night. PF should win every night. Good coaching of great, one of a kind athletes. With those athletes, one should win state.

    • Think he would be better suited to save our baseball program. We struggle to win 5 games a year but noone wants to talk about that. Could even coach from the fence across the creek should he continue in his extra curricular activities.

Such eloquent and rosy prose, contained here in, is so seldom found amongst the more jocular subset of our species. The brilliant author behind such poetic use of an obviously deep and broad vernacular, reminds me of the other-worldly talents of Oscar Wilde. I humbly thank you, kind sir, for so generously sharing your elegantly loquacious gifts. The Goat sez: You better watch your back, Lord Byron, I’m sure poetry isn’t the only talent and passion that the author shares with Oscar Wilde.
