Both teams are undefeated in district play. Both teams have struggled as of late going 2-5 in their last 7 games. Who comes out on top in the 1st meeting of the season between these two teams?

Wartburg might have a slight advantage playing at home, but OS won their last year in a 15-20 point decision.

What are everyone's thoughts?

Wartburg beat them by 20+ the last game played at Wartburg against Os..... Beside that... New year, new teams...... Just my opionion but Schultz is gonna have to have a huge game for Os to win this game.... Wartburg has alotta speed, and size.... Wartburg played Greeneville pretty tough the other night..... But Oz always comes to play.....

Wartburg-77

Oz-73

Wartburg wins because OS just isn't that good great of a team.

Well when OS has to play 5 vs 8 I think that pretty much says it all ;)

wartburg went to the line 34 times OS went 30 times and os had to foul a lot late so it looks to me the calls was pretty even these two teams are pretty even could have went eather way and as for the calls they could have called os for two intentional fouls late and did not they was bad calls on both ends of the floor

Ok well when one of wartburgs players foot was on the line and they called it a three late in the 4th quater thats pretty sorry refs and when they try to call fouls on a player who is sitting on the bench thats pretty sorry too... :thumb: But all in all it was a good game good luck to both teams! :)

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
