How good will Morristown West Be?

How good will Morristown West be this year. I heard that coach Woods is

leaving at the end of this school year. I sure hope that he stays in Morristown.

Coach Woods has made Morristown West one of the best 4a football programs in

the State. As a Morristown East Fan, I would like a chance to beat him this

year.( I hope we can win) We as Morristown East fans want the same respect

Morristown West has. Go Morristown!

Coach Woods has made Morristown West one of the best 4a football programs in

the State. As a Morristown East Fan, I would like a chance to beat him this

year.( I hope we can win) We as Morristown East fans want the same respect

Morristown West has. Go Morristown!

 

Where is Woods headed? I know he was a front runner for the Science Hill head coaching job, but didn’t get it.

 

I heard Science Hill and Morristown West play this year. Does anyone know the date and venue?

As far as beating Maryville, he is the only one in 4A that has done it more than once in 10 years, a great accomplishment for anyone.

Woods is a great high school coach. I was kinda hoping he was going to get the SHHS job, in part because I was more familiar with him than the others and he had a great track record. Averaging 11 wins a season in the last 10 years. That’s awesome at any level of football!

 

But, with him throwing his hat in the ring for another job, kinda makes you think he is a bit tired of where he is or just looking for a change. I don’t know, just a guess.

2 years in a row? East did not beat West this year. I really do not know how you can predict how the E-W game will come out because I am sure you do not get coverage of the progress of both teams where you are at.

To my knowledge Coach Woods didn't throw his "Hat" into the ring for the SC job.

 

Only hearsay, kind of like SS and the SH job.

      Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.

      Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
