Apparently you havent been to a temple game this year!To say Dee is the only fast guy is incorrect. You must not have heard of their point guard Jermey Saxton(not sure on spelling)! They also have players coming off the Bench who are fast)He's in the 10th grade and is dunking EASILY!He blows by defenders with his quickness and killa handles! But im sure you will know who he is after Friday's game!:lol:

"Players coming off the bench" I heard they only play six maybe seven and its not much of bench in terms of contributing.

Its Sexton and yes I have seen the play several times.

Dee is the quickest guy out there. Maybe the other guy just don't show it as much. Dee hustles 100% of the time. I am not saying Sexton is slow, just not as quick as most of the Howard guys.

A fast guy...that comes off the bench... dunks easily... blows by defenders with his quickness.... not sure who that is.

Andrews?

Haven't seen anyone on Temples team dunk this year.

Sorry i wasnt clear. Jermey is the guy that blows pass defenders and has killa handles, and that can dunk easliy! He may not do it in games but i was just giving extra info. Now as far as players off the Bench, yes Brandon Andrews is mainly who i was taking about, as far as being quick, sorry for the confusion!I should have been more direct~

p.s.- Jermey,Dee(hard to believe i know)and Seth can all dunk, i guess they just havent had the chance to in a game, or maybe coach skogen wont allow them, ill check into that though~

I have not seen him do it, but I hear the Smith kid can put it down too.

I say Temple will win this one by at least by 15-20 points.

Oyeah Josh can bang it also!I played with all of them at open gym, and witness'd a dunk from all of them!Temple wins, look for that 6'10 carter kid to have a couple of block, thats what he is known for! ;);)

Let me know when it happens in a game. I think it will be awhile. Dunking in a game and dunking in practice is to different things. Also, it doesn't count when you jump off a chair.

Fortunetaly for the Crusaders, dunking doesn't count for more than two points. Temple will still beat Grace. Carter will dunk, Temple will not.

I thought I saw on the scoreboard Ooltewah beat Temple tonight. Ooltewah is not a bad team at all, but was Temple looking ahead?

Temple 11 11 19 14— 55

Ooltewah 13 12 17 20— 61

Temple (55) — Josh Smith 16, Seth Skogan 16, Jeremy Sexton 13, Erik Larson 6, Dee Newsome 4

Ooltewah (61) — David Dance 19, Jacob Horsch 12, Morgan 3, Roach 8, Sanders 2, Buffington 4, Marshall 2, J. Jones 4

3-point goals: Temple 5 (Sexton 3, Skogan 2); Ooltewah 5 (Dance 5).

I'm not sure they were looking ahead to Grace, but they have not been playing well as a team the last few games. It just doesn't appear that they are having any fun playing the game. I only hope they find out what the problem is and work on it.

Did Temple only play 5 people?

    • You could trade or swap any 2-4 IMO . WC is rebuilding, PC loses the presence of 4 year stud Joshua Warren. Mcewen lacks the speed the other teams have , and also lost its top two way player from last season . HRB will look a lot different this coming season.. they return a ton of experience (though still a little on the young side as they are mostly JRs and SO ) but I liked what I saw out of them vs Mcnairy Central , I was hearing MC had 18 SRs , so that’s usually a death sentence vs small 1A schools I don’t care who they are . HRB looked to have the best player on the field , Brady can really run it .. reminds me of Ganaway but more of a WR .. the new regime will be a positive for them .
    • watch out for those Red Boiling Bulldogs
    • Never too early for football talk and good as time as any to start a new thread for this region after spring scrimmages have been completed. This region is all up for grabs after Mckenzie.. Mckenzie should run away with it and not stop until Chattanooga . My prediction  Mckenzie  Houston County  HRB Mcewen  West Carroll  Perry County
    • Agreed EastNasty. I honestly can't remember the last time metro had a big time QB recruit. I know several that played QB but weren't being recruited as a QB.
    • Don’t think they was using the current system and I personally don’t consider them Metro schools.
