Pickett Co. led most of the 1st half, up 14-8 in the 1st quarter before it ended 14-11. Pickett stayed ahead most of the 2nd quarter witht their biggest lead being 4, while Temple had a couple of 2 point leads. Temple couldn't stop TC Capps in the 1st half as he scored 14 points and dominated on the rebonds. The half ended 29 all when Temple stole the ball and scored at the buzzer. Their point guard is lightning quick! Halfway through the 3rd quarter Temple took the lead witht heir biggest lead 47-40. The quarter ended 51-46 Temple. But, it was all Pickett Co. in the 4th quarter as Pickett outscored Temple 22-7 to take the win. Pickett should go to #1 or #2 in AP, but there's only Cookeville's Herald Citizen voting in the Upper Cumberland area. Pickett has really played great in their last 4 games and is picking up momentum at the right time.

Anyone at this game saw that Temple got away with a lot of fouls and had the best of the officiating by far. Gosh, I guess in 7A Temple would only be #3 or #4. PC lost to Jackson Co. by 1 point back when Pickett wasn't playing anywhere near as well as they are now. Anyway, PC may still be #2 on our district, but PC proved tonight they are better than Temple! There were more fans at the game from both Celina and Van Buren Co. than from Temple! I saw 5 fans from Temple! Absolutely NO fan support from Temple. When PC went to Temple, our fans filled half the gym and had as many fans there as Temple. Maybe since Temple has no fan support they couldn't get up for the game. Great to see the VB fans at the game...former VB players who always go to the top games. Too bad the PC band wasn't there tonight because Temple didn't get to see the usual PC atmosphere.

You were watchin a different game than the rest of us. The officiating was horrible!! The foul count was not even close you IDIOT! They gave Skogen 3 fouls early so he had to sit and then gave him his fourth right away, fouled Smith out early!! Did Pickett Kuntry get beat by that Jackson team on the road or at home? If they called like that up there every nite no one would win your best players sit and watch the game from there chairs just like the rest of us, just crazyyyyyyy!! Anyways ya'll gonna git yours when you come to Chatt Town gooo Blue DemonDogs or whatever your name is i hope yall win that region up there and Pickett Kuntry comes to Chatt Town yall goin down!

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
