As for the McGavok Game:

Starting point ###### Micahel Young goes down with a head injury in first 2 minutes: does not return!

Deontrey Siske tweaks his knee in the 2nd QTR, doesn't play last half of the third and any in the fourth.

TWO STARTERS gone and the REBELS LOSE ON A BANK IN 30 FOOTER. Yes, a BANK IN 30 footer.

Gilcrease abd Woods are studs for the Raiders, bothe hut HUGE shots, esp the BANK IN 30 footer.

On the bright side for Franklin, it was a sophomore baptism by fire. Huge minutes were eaten up bk kids who hadn't seen much PT and in a pressure cooker situation they held there own. This game does more for Franklin than most people will think. McGavock can play, and that region will be tough to handle in the tourney.

Props to R.Glover knocking down huge 3's all night. Great game both teams!

but i thought frankin was so deep with anyone being able to step at anytime, guess thats not all true, yes it was 2pt. lose, but every Franklin fan here has made them out to be invinciable.

and i dont understand the schduling on this one Indy on friday McGavoc on saturday...i know they make schdules in like the summer or something, but Indy. is considered a cross/district rivial, and McGavoc has been a fairly good team the last few years, dont understand the people who do schedules would do that

OK FIRST OF ALL:

INDY is not a rival, you have to win a few games in a series to be considered a "RIVAL"

SECOND: Playing teams like Mcgavok, Siegal, and Antioch prepare the Rebels for tourney time.

The Rebels are a deep team, but 2 starters down and out would hurt any team. Keep in mind, a 30 footer banked in!

Your ponits and comments were hugely invalid. Please think before you write!

Here's the real question,

obviously, Franklin can play with 12-AAA, but can they win two straight games in order to get a chance to go to substate?

Think about it, first round of the region is probably against HL or McGavock, maybe even Antioch. Then you've got to play Antioch, McGavok or WC. Not many good teams can get through that.

That was a long time ago. Many high school players were born after 1989.

Painfully, so true. Kids born in '89 are graduating this year.

That is the last time any AAA team from this area won the state championship though....
