Notre Dame over Seymour again for the title.

ND did not beat Seymour for the title last year. The Irish beat Franklin Road Academy, the defending 2005 champion. FRA beat Seymour in one of the semifinal matches, while ND beat Sycamore.

So, Notre Dame over Seymour for the title would be the correct way to predict the outcome............................. but, and I'm sure this is going to make BCB and Harry T's green blood boil and their Irish locks stand on end, I think it is going to be the other way around. Here's how I see it based on having seen Sycamore, East Lit and ND (at the GP West Tournament) and tracking Seymour this season and seeing Seymour, ND and Sycamore at last year's A/AA Duals:

ND vs. Sycamore-----Got to go with the defending champs in this one. I think the Irish have too many horses for Sycamore. But, Sycamore should not forget that in 2005 everyone had Hixson penciled in as the champ and Springfield knocked them off while the Wildcats were thinking about where they were going to put the trophy.

East Lit vs. Seymour-----sentimentally, I'd love to see the inner city magnet school with no football team win this one. It would be great for Metro Nashville schools and a boost for wrestling too. East Lit has a good young squad. But, I think Seymour's strength through the line-up and returning experience will prevail. This one is a lot like last season's FRA v. Seymour match-----good but young team making its first trip to state (Seymour) against a team with a lot of returning wrestlers making their second trip to the state( FRA).

ND v. Seymour------Seymour in a close one. Irish strength in the lower weights but I think Seymour will control in the majority (note, BCB and Harry, I did not say all) of the weights from 135 up. Seymour returned almost everyone from last year's team while the Irish lost guys like Davis, Rawn and Meredith. So, the Eagles take home the hardware to upper East Tennessee.

OK, Harry T and BCB let's get this party started and hear from you backbenchers just how far off my rocker I have fallen.

Thanks for the handicapping--I was hoping someone would, as I know nothing about the three non-Irish entrants. Are there any names on those three teams you'd recommend folks keep an eye on?

Thats a good annotation of what the eagles would like to happen, although i dont know how much fight they have left in them. Its been a good season and i think for them to continue their going to have to get a little more aggressive from here on out. Theyve got the skill, now they need to get the fire back and finish it.

Seymour's 135lb McCrosky is tough and maybe their best wrestler I believe he is a 10th grader and their 145lb Shuler is strong as well. Top to bottom a competitive team.

    • Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.
    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
