Wright is really looking good. He is leading the ACC in some sta can't remember? It may be FG%. Looks good.

Here are Wrights stats from Yahoo:

FG%: 63.6

FT% : 56.1

A family member mailed me a newspaper article on Tyler Smith which was printed in the Waterloo Daily Courier on January 18th. The article was quite complimentary. He is one of only 3 freshmen in the history of U. of Iowa basketball to average more than 15 ppg. Coach Steve Alford had quoted in the article that he gave much more than just points and rebounds. He said he was on pace to rank in the top 5 for all time Hawkeye freshmen in assists, steals and 3 point shooting percentage. Alford also said he had the best basketball IQ of any player on his roster.

The article also said he had a 5 1/2 month old son who remains home in Tennessee.

So, yes it seems like he is doing well.

Tyler Smith is playing very well at Iowa. Majerus was very high on him last Saturday when commentating the Hawkeyes big win over Indiana (who'd beaten Wisconsin earlier in the week).

Yeah, he was VERY impressed with Tyler Smith. But then again, Majerus was complimenterary of Mike Davis when he was at Indiana...lol. But seriously, Smith is a heck of a player. And about Brandan Wright...wow.

I haven't heard about him since all the Giles Co. people use to talk about him constantly. Wright sure has made a big impact at UNC.

If not for Greg Oden, Tyler Smith WOULD win NCAA Rookie of the Year, he's averaging about 18 a game with 7 rebounds and he puts on a SHOW. Anyone who saw the Iowa Indiana game knows that Tyler is an entricle part to the Iowa offense and defense. He put up 25 points with 9 rebounds and one major SLAM on the Hoosiers. B-Wright is doing good at UNC as well. I will always treasure the moment when I saw Tyler dunk on almost the entire Brentwood Academy team......................SPECTACULAR
